The Pilgrim has one of the more unusual blooms in my center rose garden, and that's saying quite a bit when you consider I have roses like Roger Lambelin! They quite honestly remind me of egg yolks. The blooms are quite yellow in the center fading quickly to white at the edges. These blooms come in clusters of two or three, sometimes more at the ends of tall, sturdy upright canes, some of which are nearly six feet tall in my garden. I have seen it produce softer, floppier canes in more protected gardens. The blooms are fairly good sized at about 4 inches across and have a nice strong fragrance. This particular plant is a grafted plant.
