Windrush

an English rose by David Austin

Windrush produces very pale yellow semi double blooms which show their golden stamens. Good repeat and nice pointed medium green foliage. Windrush seems to have come through the winter of 1995 better than most of my other English roses and had buds on it by May 15th, 1996.

By summer of 1997, Windrush had reached about four feet in height and was well branched out. She is one of the best blooming roses in my English rose bed and also one of the most cane hardy. She produces some of the largest hips I've ever seen and there's lots of them. Hopefully I'll get some pictures of these hips up sometime soon.

Windrush was planted on her own roots in the spring of 1995.
